Itinéraires: Direction Europe (France)
Itinéraires is a new non-profit organisation aiming to create a link between adults and Europe by offering them opportunities for active participation in civic initiatives and European-funded training programmes. Itinéraires believes in the importance of bringing European citizens together to tackle stereotypes based on ethnicity, nationality, gender, (dis)ability and age.
The mutual understanding and trust between Europeans starts from interaction, open dialogue and thoughtful reflection about active civic engagement.
The association was created as a response to the marginalisation of people from active participation in European initiatives and in European civic life, due to lack of knowledge about the opportunities and tools that the European Union can offer to these groups.
What is a learning circle?
A Learning Circle is a learning community based on tasks rather than practice or knowledge. Instead of having a single shared task, Learning Circles focus on a set of small, interdependently intersecting group tasks, each led by one of the participants.
